Redesigning the kitchen and dining areas, we transformed two previously disconnected rooms into a unified open space. Goal: Improve flow, enhance functionality, and deepen the connection between the kitchen and dining area.
Interior Design
Opening the Plan Originally, the kitchen was isolated from both the nook and the dining room; there was no direct connection. By removing the dividing wall, the kitchen and dining spaces now flow seamlessly together.
Dining Wall & Bar A structural wall in the dining room couldn’t be removed, so we made it a feature. One side remains the existing wall, and the opposite side is balanced with a new pantry. Wood paneling ties these elements together into a coherent, crafted focal point.
Kitchen Island We introduced a new island to serve as the anchor of the kitchen. It helps define the space, enhances movement, and encourages visual and physical interaction between the kitchen and dining zones.
